Day 156: I Don’t Want to Do This: FEAR Dimension

'Alternate Realities' by Andrew Gable

This post is a continuation to:

Now in this post we’re going to take a look at the Fear Dimension of the I Don’t Want to Do This Character/Personality, to see how/why I formed this character, in relation to not only working/doing my job, but really toward taking care of responsibilities/obligations in general, as that is the real root/essence of the character. So, I formed this character in order to protect my self-interest, as that is the basis for why we form character/personalities – in order to protect ourselves from some ‘perceived threat’ to our own personal interest, since as children we generally learn to consider only our own personal experience, and disregard the rest of reality, as it’s not happening to me.

I did not realize the importance and effect it would have to make sure my responsibilities are taken care of, because I didn’t realize that we live in a physical reality where there is consequence if you don’t take care of your responsibilities. Because as a child, I was free of ‘responsibilities’, as parents tend to want to give their children a ‘carefree time’ before you have to grow up and go out into the system and get a job and take on all these responsibilities that come with living in the world in the current system. And so it’s like they want to give you your ‘playtime’ before you have buckle down into the system and become a slave that works to give life to the system, just for your survival in return, because they don’t enjoy it, and they know you’re not going to enjoy it, but it’s accepted as the way it is. And as a child, you pick up on that energy within how ‘work’ is presented, and responsibilities/obligations, where it’s like a ‘negative thing’.

I remember also, seeing examples within television shows, cartoons, books, that presented it as if it’s normal to not want to work, and to have an experience toward it of resistance and wanting to get out of it. And so I copied the examples that I saw, and followed suit with this behavior, in believing that it makes sense to have such reactions to working, and I didn’t even question it, like why should I be having reactions within myself that change my internal experience?

And it’s almost like, as a way of coping with the ‘helplessness’ of not having a choice but having to go into this system as it currently exists, within the situation of there being very little likelihood of getting a ‘decent’ job with ‘decent’ pay, it’s as if that since I felt I couldn’t do anything about my outer situation, that by manipulating my internal experience, at least I was changing/affecting something. Which is really quite ridiculous when you look at it.

So, in looking at why I would form this character/personality of not wanting to do the task that’s before me, and developing this entire reaction sequence play-out of thought, imagination, backchat, reactions and energy-experiences, with the result of manipulating myself into a certain experience and behaviors, I can see that it’s to ‘protect’ my ‘experience of myself’, which is ironic, because what I’m attempting to do is to manipulate myself through these energetic experiences, to avoid certain situations, like for example working, by creating such an awful experience within myself toward working, that I’ll eventually not be able to take it anymore, and will give up. And so this character, is there to seemingly protect me from not having to do what I don’t want to do, however, it’s not the work I am actually not liking, it is the experience within myself toward the work that I am wanting to avoid, which I created through the participation in my mind in the character/personality system. Which is all in my head, and not my actual experience.

When it comes down to what I like/don’t like, what I want/don’t want, it’s really irrelevant in terms of what I have to do. Like in this current system, I do have to get a job, and if I want to get into an effective position, I will most likely not be able to it doing ‘what I’d like to do’, but will have to do what ‘the system’ will pay me to do. I could sit here and wish life could be like this or like that, but it doesn’t change the situation we’re in. The only way to do that is by us actually standing up and changing it, through implementing an Equal Money System, which will end the wage-slave system of crappy jobs that don’t pay enough and don’t serve any real benefit to humanity/life.

In the next post, we’ll walk the Self Forgiveness in relation to the points here, for the Fear Dimension of the I Don’t Want to Do This Character.

In this post we’re now going to continue with the Commitment Statements for the Reaction Dimension of the I Don’t Want to Do This Character in regards to working/doing my job.

Reaction Dimension Self Commitments:
Thought Energy-Relationship Self Commitments:
I commit myself to when/as I see the thought come up in my mind of how I am not going to enjoy myself while working/doing my job, I stop immediately and move myself as the directive principle of myself to not participate in the thought and to simply stick to the task at hand working/doing my job, as I see, realize and understand that if I do not immediately move myself, that I’ll essentially allow the Mind to move me with the energy-experience of ‘dread’, where I’ll become that energy and thus sabotage myself in my living here in effectively applying myself within my work/job.

I commit myself to standing as the decision to not accept and allow myself to follow/live/connect me to the thought in the moment, as I see, realize and understand that if I do so I will become the thought and energy-experience that accompanies it, and essentially lock myself into the mind giving up my directive will in determining who I am in the moment , and so I commit myself to stand as my decision in the moment and take a breath and move myself to stay here in reality within doing my job/working.

Imagination Energy-Relationship Self Commitments:
I commit myself to when and as I see myself participating in the negative imagination of how I’m not going to enjoy work, where I imagine what might ‘go wrong’, to realize that by participating in this imagination and energy-experience I am the one creating it, and thus I can stop in a moment within making the decision to stop participating and walking/living that decision through breathing through the energy and grounding myself here in and as the physical, as I realize that the more I stick to my decision to move myself, the more I take back control of myself from the mind and show the mind that it does not in fact have power over me, and thus the energy will start disappearing as I no longer accept and allow myself to be moved by it.

I commit myself to when and as I see myself going into the positive imagination where I imagine myself as not having to work, being at home, doing something else and experiencing myself positively in these scenarios, where I get to avoid doing the action/task that is before me as working/doing my job, to realize that I’m accepting and allowing myself to be moved by energy and going into an energy-experience instead of remaining here in/as the physical and moving myself practically according to what needs to be done such as working/doing my job.

I commit myself to assist and support myself to when and as I see myself go into imagining in my mind alternatives to what it is I have to do in the moment, and experiencing ‘comfort’ toward this imagination, to stop participation, as I realize I am allowing myself to be manipulated by/through/within an energy-experience of ‘comfort’ attached to images in my mind, with the purpose of manipulating myself to give up on the task before me, and thus I commit myself to realize that that experience of ‘comfort’ is not an actual, self-directed expression of myself as comfort.

Backchat Energy-Relationship Self Commitments:
I commit myself to when in a moment where I am facing the task of working/doing my job, and see myself participating in the words “Man I really don’t want to do this” / “I am not going to enjoy this” / “This is not going to go well”, where I then experience the negative energy experience of ‘anxiety’, to realize that I am using these words and the accompanying energy-experience of ‘anxiety’ to create an alternate reality in my mind as a relationship toward working/doing my job, in order to compromise me in doing what I need to do here in order to effectively support myself within working/doing my job.

I commit myself to when and as I see myself participate in the backchat “I wish I could be doing something else” / “It’s going to be so long before I’m finished” / “I wish I could be doing something else” / “It’s going to be so long before I’m finished” and the accompanying energy-experience of ‘depression’, to stop, breathe and ground myself here, as I realize that I am using these words and experience of depression to manipulate myself into not doing that which I must do, and thus it is up to me to stand as my decision to move myself and no longer accept and allow myself to be directed by energy-experiences.

I commit myself to assist and support myself to when and as I see myself going into backchat and a positive or negative energy-experience toward working/doing my job, to stop participation and breathe to stabilize myself here in reality, and stand as the directive principle of myself and changing myself to no longer accept myself to live as words with energy to living words where I direct myself to move and actually do that which I have decided to do, in applying myself within effectively working/doing my job in order to support myself here.

This post is a continuation to:
Day 139: The ‘I Don’t Want To Do This’ Character
Day 140: 'I Don’t Want to Do This': Thought Dimension
Day 141: I Don’t Want to Do This: Thought Dimension (Part 2)
Day 143: I Don’t Want to Do This: Imagination Dimension (Part 1)
Day 144: I Don’t Want to Do This: Imagination Dimension (Part 2)
Day 145: I Don’t Want to Do This: Imagination Dimension (Part 3) Day 147: I Don’t Want to Do This: Backchat Dimension (Part 2)

Now we’re going to walk the Reaction Dimension of the I Don’t Want to Do This Character/Personality in relation to working/doing my job, to have a look at what kind of emotions and feelings activate within me, along with the Thought, Imagination and Backchat Dimensions, which will eventually result in a change to my physical condition/behaviour/body language, where what I’m participating in and experiencing within the mind actually gets lived out in the physical. For more context and further detailed perspective on the Reaction Dimension, read from Heaven’s Journey to Life: Character Dimensions – REACTION Dimension (Part 1): DAY 170

The Reaction Dimension is one more step in further substantiating/solidifying myself within the experience within this character, as through the Reaction Dimension one activate emotions and feelings as energy-experiences which are further backed/supported by/through the Imagination and Backchat Dimensions, where now essentially my physical body is ‘possessed’ by this energy-experience, and thus making it seem easier to give in to this experience of energy of the Mind, as it’s ‘here’, I’m experiencing, and depending on how much I have participated in this particular character and the extent to which I’ve allowed such energy-reactions within me, it can seem to be ‘very strong/intense’ and thus I’ll ‘give in’ to this experience.

However, as I continue to assist and support myself within standing as the decision to no longer accept and allow myself to participate in the I Don’t Want to Do This Character and all its Dimensions, the seeming ‘strength’/’intensity’ of these energy experiences will eventually diminish until they eventually disappear altogether, thus showing just how limited these energy-experiences are after all.

So, we’ll now walk through in writing the Reactions as emotions and feelings that come up within me within/toward each Dimension, starting with the Thought Dimension, and then going into the Imagination and Backchat Dimensions, and then eventually getting to the application of Self Forgiveness and Commitment Statements on the Reactions that came up for each Dimension. Within this, to go from self-unaware within being controlled by energy of the mind as feelings/emotions, to self awareness as seeing and understanding what takes place in my mind and that it is simply a process that is not actually me as who I am, and to within this, stop participation in/as the mind, and develop self-willed self direction to live here as myself, no longer becoming possessed by/within Characters/Personalities, so that I can effectively direct myself within my responsibilities and really fully live.

Thought Dimension: Emotion/Feeling Reactions:
So, where in the Thought Dimension, the thought that came up that I am going to ‘not enjoy working’, according to memories of past experiences of working and not enjoying myself. Toward this thought, the reaction I experienced was the negative emotion of ‘Dread’, wherein I went into an energetic experience of ‘dreading’ the hours to come while working, within having accepted the thought that I am going to ‘not enjoy myself’ while working.

Imagination Dimension: Emotion/Feeling Reactions:
Within the Imagination Dimension, where I go into the ‘positive’ imagination of what ‘I’d rather be doing’, as for example being at home not working, I experience a positive feeling of ‘Comfort’, as the images and scenarios play out in my mind of not having to work and getting to be at home, as I’ve associated ‘not working’ and ‘being at home’ with being ‘comfortable’, and this especially comes up in situations when I am working in ‘inclement’ weather, such as wind and rain and cold.

Backchat Dimension: Emotion/Feeling Reactions:
In the Backchat Dimension, when I am participating in the backchat of for example “Man I really don’t want to do this” / “I am not going to enjoy this” / “This is not going to go well”, I experience the Emotions of ‘Anxiety’, within the fear/expectation/projection of how I am going to experience myself ‘negatively’ as ‘not enjoying myself’.

Within toward the backchat of “I wish I could be doing something else” / “It’s going to be so long before I’m finished” / “I wish I could be doing something else” / “It’s going to be so long before I’m finished”” I experience the Emotion of ‘Depression’ wherein I go into an energy-experience of feeling depressed for having to work and not being able get out of it or do something else.

Toward the backchat “I would be so much more comfortable if I was at home right now” / “I’d be so relieved to be able to stop working now for the day” / “I really can’t wait to be done working” / “I’ll finally be able to enjoy myself once I’m done working” / “It’d be so nice to just sit down and relax”, I experience the Positive Feeling of ‘Relaxation’ within imagining myself no longer working and getting to relax.

In the following post, we’ll continue with the Self Forgiveness on the Emotions/Feelings that we’ve written out here within opening up the Reaction Dimension of the I Don’t Want to Do This Character/Personality.
