Day 99: The My Way Character – Self Commitment Statements

Featured Artwork by Jessica Arias

I commit myself to transforming myself from a being that lives within an idea of My Way, where I want what I have decided is best for me, in total disregard of the bigger picture as all life here, to a being that considers all life here equally, as that is what will manifest the best world possible for myself and all included, as when we all live in consideration of everyone equally, then we will not allow abuse to exist in any form.

I commit myself to take responsibility for how this world exists, where the reality we’ve created is competition against one another, within the realization that the cause of this is us collectively living from/within a starting point of self interest and not considering all life, but only ourselves within a limited bubble in our minds in separation of the whole.

I commit myself to stop believing in the alternate reality in my mind as the pictures that come up within my mind, within the realization that a picture is my mind is not reality, it’s only a picture in my mind, and when I believe in that picture and participate in that picture as if it were real and who I am, that I separate myself from reality, as I’ve now accepted a picture in my mind as reality, and thus will act accordingly to the picture while disregarding actual reality.

I commit myself to showing the duplicity of the My Way character, where self is wanting/expecting/desiring others to consider what self wants when self hasn’t considered everyone else and is only considering what self wants, so perpetuating the cycle of everyone only considering themselves as an individual according to one’s wants/desires, without actually checking/verifying that one’s wants/desires are taking everyone into consideration and not compromising anyone else.

I commit myself to stop spitefulness within myself, by investigating myself to uncover all ways in which I act as and become the My Way character, where I am only considering myself within an idea of what is best for me that is separate from considering or regarding everyone else, as all the beings in this reality, because I am not separate from them, we all live in the same reality here, and so to disregard anyone/anything is to disregard a part of myself.

I commit myself to living the solution of considering all life equally, to show that it is only a matter of changing oneself from a perspective of self interest in separation of the whole, to a starting point of considering all life equally, that will transform this world from one of competition and struggle, to heaven on earth where no matter where you are, you have the same support to have the best life possible, as the logical step would be to create a system through which we ensure that everyone is effectively supported.

Day 98: The My Way Character – Self Forgiveness Statements Continued

Featured Artwork by Rozelle De Lange

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to, when the thought comes up that I might not get My Way, to believe in this thought, instead of realizing that it is just a picture in my mind, which I utilize to trigger a certain set of emotion/feeling/thought/backchat reactions within myself, through which I am creating an entire experience within myself, totally in no relation to reality, and thus creating and going into an ‘alternate reality’ in my mind, in which I fear that I am not going to get My Way.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to go into my imagination and actually play out in my mind what might happen if I don’t get my way, as to how and in what ways I might suffer or ‘lose out’ on something, and within this not considering/realizing that I am literally using these made-up scenarios in my mind to convince myself to take action/go to battle/go on the defense/fight for My Way, in attempt to avoid/protect myself from the pictures in my mind which aren’t even real.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that this character is who I am, where when this character activates, I have become it totally, within believing that I need/want/must have My Way, and not even realizing/considering that My Way is only an idea in my mind that I am defending, and within this, not realizing that if My Way was the Way that is Best for All, it need no defending whatsoever, as it is common sense what is best, and only that which is not considering all equally would need to be defended/fought for/justified/reasoned as it doesn’t stand in common sense.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to form the My Way character as a way to ‘deal with’/’protect myself from’ the fear of my interest not being considered/looked out for/taken care of, due to existing in a world we’ve accepted reality as competition with each other and where we each only consider ourselves and our own, and within this never considering the solution is thus for each and every one to stop considering only oneself and one’s own, in separation of the whole.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize/consider that living and existing as the My Way character has never lead to a world where I am actually safe and supported and where my best interest is considered, but that the world has only become increasingly more hostile a place to be, as we drive ourselves further and further into separation and fear toward one another, all in our struggle/fight to ‘look out for ourselves’, cause we’re not simply looking out for ourselves as the whole, equal and one.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that fighting for My Way is a behavior that will never produce what it is that I am seeking, which is to have my best interest considered, because I am not living that myself, within considering what’s in all’s best interest, as how can I expect anyone else to do that which I won’t even do myself?

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not even consider if what it is that I think I want as My Way, is actually what is in my best interest after all, cause if I had I would see/realize/understand that there is no Self Interest that is separate from the Whole Interest, as Self is Part of the Whole.

Day 97: The My Way Character – Self Forgiveness Statements

Featured Artwork by Matti Freeman

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to exist as the My Way character where I hold onto beliefs and ideas of what I want/need/desire to happen, as a picture/image/idea of how I’d like things to go, that I feel justified in because of the various reasons that I believe I need/require reality to go according to the picture in my mind.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that by participating in the My Way character that I am responsible for this world existing within competition and self interest, as that is what I am participating in myself, when living as the My Way character, in holding on to how ‘I want things to go’, in total disregard for what would be best for everyone in a given situation.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that the belief that I hold in the idea of which way is best for me as how I apparently need/want/require reality to go in order to have the best outcome for me, is actually just a belief and thus not based in reality, as I have not made sure or checked that ‘my way’ is actually aligned with what would actually be what is best for me.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that within living as the My Way character, I am essentially saying ‘I want you to consider My Way’ and within this not considering the other person at all, and thus I am actually the one that is being spiteful within expecting the other to consider My Way when I am not even doing the same for them as I am not considering them at all, but only what I think is best for myself.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that by holding onto and fighting for and defending My Way that I am actually disregarding everyone and everything else, and thus putting everyone and everything else in the very position of having to ‘fend for themselves’ because I am not considering them, and thus I am further perpetuating the endless cycles of competition against one another that we have always been existing as.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that there is no ‘My Way’ as what is best for me that is separate from what is best for All, as the only way to ensure that I have the best life is to ensure that All Everywhere have the best life.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize the simple solution of considering all equally is what will lead to a world that is best for all including myself, as it is all of us collectively living as individual points in competition with one another and holding onto ideas of ‘My Way’ as how ‘I want things to go for me’ and not considering if what it is that we are wanting/fighting for/defending is what is causing the very problem in the first place, where we’ve accepted reality as one in which we must fight to get ‘our way’ instead of creating a reality in which we’re all supported effectively from the get-go, where then there would be no one to fight or compete against, as we’d all be taken care of.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that I must become the solution of living as the example of considering all equally, and stop only considering a ‘My Way’ that is separate from the consideration of all, in order to end this situation of having to ‘look out for ourselves’ when we’re really only looking out for ourselves from each other, which doesn’t make any sense, as we can simply agree to work together in creating a life that is best for all, instead of accepting a world where we must compete, when we have every capability to provide every single being with what is needed to have a dignified life here.

Day 96: The ‘My Way’ Character – Part 2

So, in looking some more at the ‘My Way’ character, we’ll look at some more of the components that make up this particular character. In the previous post, we went into some of the thoughts and fears that’ll come up in relation to this character, and some of the consequence of us living as this character in our World. In this post, we’ll look at also the Imagination Dimension, and the Physical and Reaction Dimensions. This way making sure we’ve covered all the angles of the ‘My Way’ character.

So, what takes place within the Imagination when we’re participating in/as this character? Well, since we’ve decided we want/desire/need things to go a certain way/‘my way’, and the fear has come up suddenly that we’re maybe not going to get ‘my way’, we’ll then imagine ‘what might/could/would happen’ if we don’t get ‘my way’, where we’ll then cycle through our imagination all the beliefs and fears and projections that we believe are going to happen reality doesn’t go just the way we wanted it to. Through this, we are just ‘feeding the fire’ of this character, and furthering our own possession into/as this character, to the point where we become it so completely, that it’s all we think/say/speak/act/react as.

For example, in a recent situation where I was working on practicing some lines from a script with another person, I had an idea of how I wanted to do it, and when they suggested we do it another way, the ‘My Way’ character was activated, as I feared that I would not get ‘My Way’, which I had formed the belief/perception that I needed/required/wanted the practice session to go a certain way, and within this actually totally closed myself off to hearing or even considering any other way it might be done, nor considering how it might be best for the other person as well. And within this, going into a character as reaction to a fear, instead of remaining here as myself and simply discussing the point and how best to proceed, without pre-formed expectations and beliefs, to see what works best for all in the situation, and then simply walk that.

So, by going into the ‘My Way’ character here, we can see that the consequence was closing myself off to consideration of what would actually be best for All in the moment, and instead becoming possessed by a character wherein I wanted to hold onto an idea of ‘my way’ as how I believed/perceived that I wanted/needed things to go, wherein I’m actually only considering myself, which creates a situation of conflict, as I’m separating my interest from the interest of the whole.

And within this, not even considering the actual practicality of how I want to do things/how I want reality to go, as to whether or not my want is actually practical and would actually be best. And it’s obviously not best, since I’m considering my interest in separation of the whole rest of existence, which I exist within where my life is only as good as the quality of this existence/reality is, and thus my interest is the same and not separate from the interest of all of reality/existence. Therefore, any interest that’s not considering the whole, is not going to lead to the best life possible, and thus is not actually in my interest. So you can see that self interest which is separate from/doesn’t consider the interest of the whole equally, is not a benefit to self as an individual.

Now, onto the Physical and Reaction Dimension of the My Way character. What I’ll experience is like an all-over body stiffens, like my body freeze for a moment, while caught up in the mind reaction of where the mind is slowly realizing that reality is going according to another way than expected, and the mind needs a moment to try and figure out what to do, how to defend itself/protect its interest, in this situation where it perceives a threat. There will also be some adrenaline, which is like an excitement experience for the mind from being in a position where you don’t know what’s going to happen and fear some consequence.

In the following post we’ll get into Self Forgiveness Statements on all the Dimensions to assist and support ourselves to release ourselves from and stop living as the My Way character.

Day 95: The ‘My Way’ Character – Part 1

This character comes up when I perceive that another is ‘getting their way’ and a thought comes up of how I’d have liked things to go according to how I felt it would be best for me. So when I had an idea of how I wanted things to go, and it doesn’t go that way, I then go into fear that I will then not get the situation/result that’s ‘best for me’, as it doesn’t match the idea that I had in my mind of what would be best for me.

So then I’d go into a point of feeling like I must ‘fight’ for ‘my way’ because ‘my way’ and ‘what’s best for me’ aren’t being considered, and thus from here I will then attempt to manipulate to get ‘my way’ and to show and prove why it needs to be done my way and why my way is best for me. Because this is how I’ve learned to exist in this world, as I must look out for ‘myself’ as everyone else is looking out for just ‘themselves’, within this never considering/realizing/being shown the simple solution of considering what’s best for all equally.

Within this never considering have I checked to make sure that ‘my way’ would be best for everyone?

Would I really want to ‘get my way’ if ‘my way’ is going to cause harm? I mean what kind of a world would I be manifesting, if I get ‘my way’ and ‘my way’ is not considering others? Or if I’m fighting for ‘my way’ and disregarding/not considering everyone else? Obviously, that’s the world as it exists today, where we’ve as humanity been existing within only considering our own self interest, and not considering others, thus creating a situation in which we all must apparently ‘look out for ourselves’ because no one else will. And thus we learn to act in ways that seek to get ‘our way’ as what we think/have decided is best for ‘ourself’, yet not considering the bigger picture, not considering all the other beings that we exist here with, and making sure that everyone is effectively taken care of – as that would ensure that we are also effectively taken care of.

Thus we keep each other trapped within looking out for our ‘own way’, because we’re each only considering ourself, instead of realizing the simple solution of if we simply make sure that everyone is effectively cared for equally, then there will be nothing to fight for, no ‘my way’ that must be looked out for, because ‘the way’ that exist will be the way that is best for everyone – where none are disregarded and all are included, including you.

The way this will come about is by each and every individual that make up humanity, to transform oneself in one’s day to day living, to stop living as the consideration of/for self interest only, and instead live in consideration of all equally. This is done by rooting out for oneself all ways where one is living as the ‘my way’ character, and to stop, and assist and support self to realize what self is participating in within the ‘My Way’ character, is what keeps us in a world that doesn’t consider and care for each and every individual and thus why we have to ‘look out for ourselves’. Thus, when you become the solution and stop participating in ‘my way’ and instead focus on creating ‘the way’ that is best for all, the ‘my way’ character will not even have a reason to exist.
