Day 179: Turns Out You CAN Buy Happiness - IF You Have MONEY

Featured Artwork by Matti Freeman

Turns out you can buy happiness! New research shows the richer are the happier you'll be
New research not only confirms what most would call common sense - that it's more fun to have a lot of money than to scrape by with little - but can tell you exactly how much happiness each dollar will buy you.
A new discussion paper from researchers Daniel. W. Sacks, Betsey Stevenson, and Justin Woflers title 'The New Stylized Facts about Income and Subjective Well-Being' tracks happiness in comparison with income and what we buy with our money.
Their findings graph exactly how much you need to increase your income to affect your happiness and where you can find the happiest people in the world.
Among 122 countries interviewed on well-being in a gallup world poll against a nation's real GDP per capita (and adjusted for purchasing power) found that well-being rises with income at all income levels in every country.
Therefor, rich countries are happier than poorer countries.
It also found that you need to increase your income by consistent percentages to feel happier about a raise.
For instance, if you doubled your income from $30,000 to $60,000 you'd need to double it again to $120,000 to get the same feeling of elation rather than simply add another $30,000.
And while you need increasingly higher and higher jumps in income to get the same satisfaction, there isn't a plateau where the feeling will level out. You can always be happier if you can get the money.
The research also showed that satisfaction could rise steadily if income levels rose steadily.
Interestingly, while the U.S. economy has doubled in size since the early 1970s, its self-reported happiness has been declining.
That could be attributed to the growing economic disparity between the wealthy and the poor.
The author's noted that in European countries, 'the inequality has increased by half' the amount it has in the U.S.

Yes, Money is required to buy Happiness. We all already know this, but many will deny it, the simple fact that money is required to have any kind of a life that one can enjoy here, and that money and how much you have directly determines your quality of life. I mean, this is obvious, it’s how we’ve designed this system to operate – you need money to buy things. In fact, you need money to buy almost anything. Yet we only ‘know’ this as knowledge and information, as we haven’t done anything about it in actual reality, like changing our money system so that it does in fact support everyone to have the best life.

There’s the quote “Money can’t buy happiness” which is often used as justification to accept the economic system the way it is, as a reason why apparently you don’t need money to buy happiness. But this in terms of happiness as a mental state, wherein what is being implied is that – even with money you can still be unhappy. Basically because you can still drive yourself nuts in your mind, regardless of your financial position. And this is used to justify allowing poverty to continue by implying that money is thus not the key ingredient in being happy, when we know full well that without money you are going to go through real actual physical suffering, and that while you can change how you experience yourself internally, if you have no money, it is a physical problem, which cannot be stopped by changing your mindset.

Yet, the human does not currently have effective directive ability of their own minds and are subject to all sorts of thoughts, feelings and emotions, and from that perspective, there is a lot of mental suffering as a result of being in extreme financial situations, where you don’t know how you are going to survive or pay the next bill, or how you will afford to pay the fee if the electric company shuts you off, or how to give your children the best life possible. How will you afford to send them to college? Or even to just put enough nutrition on the table for them every day, get the proper healthcare they need when they get sick, etc. There does not yet exist any kind of worldwide support system to assist people with directing their inner experiences yet, except for the Desteni I Process so far, which has been developing this for years already, which now offers a free course with buddy support which covers the fundamentals of how to direct one’s thoughts and reactions.

So, because most humans do not have a directive ability of one’s mind, one is susceptible to one’s environment, and thus by not ensuring everyone has enough money, we are in fact responsible for allowing both physical and mental suffering to take place, and when it is totally unnecessary. Why allow a very tiny amount of people to have way more money than is necessary so that all the rest, the vast majority which is billions of beings, can live lives of inferior quality and support? Why allow children to not get the most effective education? The best healthcare? The children become the adults that is us that walk this earth and ought to be the custodians of the earth, but they turn out to be the abusers of the earth just like those that have gone before as we teach each following generation the same principles, the same ignorance and disregard of life.

The U.S. Constitution states everyone is entitled to the pursuit of happiness as an unalienable right. Therefore we are directly violating the Constitution to not ensure that everyone has enough money to be happy, as we know that without money, they will not be able to pursue happiness.

Thus why this current Capitalist system requires revamping, so that it is actually in-line with the very principles it is supposed to uphold, and the promises it has made to make life better for the individual, when everywhere you look more and more individuals are doing worse and worse. Within Equal Money Capitalism, you will have the money to send your child to college, you will have the money to get the most effective healthcare when you need for you or your family, you will have the best quality car, the best quality house, the best quality food that are not made to contain poisons like we have today, you will have the best environment, as nature will have the best care, you will have the Best Rights as an Individual that will have ever existed.

  • Day 175: We Have All Become Yes Men

Tonight I watched a documentary called ‘Yes Men’.

    Description:
A comedic documentary which follows The Yes Men, a small group of prankster activists, as they gain world-wide notoriety for impersonating the World Trade Organization on television and at business conferences around the world. The film begins when two members of The Yes Men, Andy and Mike, set up a website that mimics the World Trade Organization's--and it's mistaken for the real thing. They play along with the ruse and soon find themselves invited to important functions as WTO representatives. Delighted to represent the organization they politically oppose, Andy and Mike don thrift-store suits and set out to shock unwitting audiences with darkly comic satire that highlights the worst aspects of global free trade.

If you haven’t seen this documentary show, I suggest to watch it: Yes Men, to see a really clear example of how we as humanity have become brainwashed to accept whatever is presented to us, where only the really obviously extreme actually gets us to question things. You’ll see in this video a stark example of how we as humans have come to lack any ability to recognize that which is harmful to life and should not be accepted, and the shocking level of what we as humanity will accept and allow within this world, and within the very organizations that we accept as having prominent positions in our world system.

Of course, this isn’t actually the way to save the world. The first step is just to waking ourselves up to what we’ve been accepting and allowing, so that we can really see who and what we’ve become, and that we are in fact responsible for how we create this reality, and all the suffering and abuse that is taking place, through allowing an economic system that is not effectively supporting everyone.

The key is to see within/for ourselves as individuals how we live this point of accepting what is presented to us, and not questioning what is going on, and to educate ourselves as to what is really going on in this world, and how we must care for all life here, if we want the best life for ourselves. And thus develop the ability to recognize that which is harmful to life and that which benefit life as a whole, so we can support that which is benefit and not allow that which is abusive. I mean, it’s really quite strange we don’t exist that way already, that we’ve allowed ourselves to disregard life to the extent where we take a back seat to reality and just accept what’s here, regardless of the consequences.

But it is really no surprise that we exist in such a level of ignorance when you look at what it is we’re doing to this world and ourselves, how we’re treating life here, and practically abusing life in every way possible. Deluding ourselves that humanity cares in some way, when there is no evidence of this caring when we allow beings to starve to death and go without the necessities of physical life.

How is it that we can go through our entire education system and come out as a human being that disregards our world and all life? Our school system has been designed to support the system and business, and not life, and the result is we teach children generation after generation that the disregard of life is acceptable for the sake of business and making profit. This requires to be corrected, before we completely annihilate ourselves and all life here, and thus the initiative of Equal Money Capitalism is under way, to take Capitalism and align it into a system that no longer abuse and disregard life. To stop churning out humans within the school systems to be batteries to fuel the system of business and making money while not caring about life and the very environment and nature that supports us to live, but rather giving children an education of real value, to become beings that actually care for life, in learning how this physical reality actually operates, how our very lives are dependent on it and the quality of it, and therefore everything we do in this reality should be evaluated to ensure that we are in no way harming life here, as to so is to harm ourselves.

Day 165: School shootings like Sandy Hook in Connecticut should be PREVENTED

So we’ve had this recent school shooting take place, it is all over the news. The president was teary eyed about it, and yet for all our attention over 20 children and six adults who were senselessly killed, thousands of children and adults are killed every day, and it is not all over the news, and the president is not shedding tears about it. To cry over 20 children, while ignoring thousands of others being killed, is really quite insane, and thus it’s no surprise that we would produce such a being that would go and gun down school children. I mean, how could this boy be so detached from reality, to enact such an atrocity on fellow humans? Well, we are doing it on a mass scale, allowing beings to suffer needlessly, and completely ignoring it. Now that is what you’d call ‘detached’. And psychotic actually.

It is quite gruesome when any child is killed for no reason. School shootings like this and the some 70 other school shootings that have taken place since 1994, should raise a red flag, that something is very wrong here, that such a thing even happens. This is a really stark event that should serve as a wakeup call, to reevaluate ourselves and our approach to life. But mostly what we do is simply mourn for a moment, and then go on about our lives, without changing anything, without considering how is it that we created this to happen? How is it that we as a society have produced such a person who would end up doing such a thing? Someone who has no regard for life?

Well, when we look at for the most part how we’ve been conducting ourselves here on earth, we collectively disregard life as a whole to an extreme extent. We allow thousands to die gruesome deaths every day and it doesn’t even make the news. We are destroying our ecosystem, wiping out entire species of life here, with little to no regard, and no action to actually stop what we’re doing. We’re consuming oil like there is no limit to it, indicating a gross ignorance of how our physical ecosystem functions and its fundamental makeup and design. We’re living to work our lives away in order to make money to provide for a dignified living yet mostly just scraping by, because we haven’t made our basic necessities a basic right, and thus disregarding our own lives. Putting our bodies through all kinds of abuse trying to keep up with the fast pace of the rat race.

Suggest to listen to the interview series:  The Spirituality of the Snail – Part 1 to get some fascinating perspective on the pace at which we humans are on the move, compared to the pace at which the snail moves, and just what it is we miss out on by not giving ourselves the time to really be here with the physical reality.

Do the emotional reactions that we have for 20 children being killed, do anything to change the situation, and prevent more school shootings from happening? Obviously not, as there are simply more and more and worse school shootings. If we actually cared, we would prevent this from happening. We would say ‘this is totally unacceptable, let’s sort this out immediately before it happens again and more suffer.’ Because we know if we do not stop the cause of the problem, it will just keep happening, yet we’ve ignored this fact for a very long time, and thus why all the problems we’ve ever had, still exist to this day and are worse than ever. Go ahead and feel sad about it if you want to, but when are you going to get around to doing something about it?

This situation is an example of how we are only reacting to the consequences we create, and never bother with actual prevention as solutions. And so we are all responsible for the deaths of those who were gunned down. Because we just let things happen, and then say ‘oh how terrible’, and then continue as before, as if we don’t really care at all. We just express some emotions and feelings for a moment, and that’s it. Thus showing the uselessness of emotions and feelings. They don’t accomplish anything. They can’t. They’re just energetic experiences we have inside ourselves, obviously that’s not going to have any effect on physical reality.

So what do we need to do to prevent this from happening? What actions can we take to stop this from happing? First we have to look at why/how does this happen, and ask who does a person have to be, in order to do something like this? How can one have such a disregard for life? We have no regard for life as a whole. We don’t take the actions to take proper care of our world and all the beings in it, we allow life to be taken advantage of and abused for profit in every way possible within the current economic system. So, we require to value life, and have an economic system that is in alignment with valuing life, as the Equal Money System. Thus we need effective education on the equality of life and why not to shoot other people. And proper support for those diagnosed with things like as Asperger’s or Autism. And obviously this support to be available to every individual, and not only those that can afford it.

The Equal Money System is based on the principle of Prevention is the Best Cure, so that we finally can end the problems we face in the world so they are no longer simply being pushed aside while they get bigger and bigger and ignoring the suffering that going on as a result. Within the Equal Money System, we will finally address head on the problems existing in the world, as there is simply no reason not to, so that we can sort out this world and stop the unnecessary suffering, stop living as slaves to the economic system where we serve the system but have a system that supports us, as that’s what an economic system is supposed to do.

The policies that have been developed so far, which the Equal Money System will function according to can be seen on the Equal Money website, which is an open platform where you can place your vote on the policies and add any comments/suggestions. And you can read further in depth explanations on the Equal Money Wiki. Suggest to read particularly the policies on Education and Healthcare, as they relate quite specifically to the two points I’ve mentioned here as to how to prevent the disregard for life, on order to prevent atrocities like school shootings.

A new policy has just recently been added which is Stewardship, which also relates to this point. It states:

Within an Equal Money system it will be recognized that Humans are a part of the Ecosystem they live in. The word 'eco' stands for 'home' - and thus, each human will be responsible for maintaining the Balance and Harmony within their home, within their Ecosystem. This involves the Monitoring of the Well-Being of the Plants and Animals within one's Environment and to Intervene when Disharmony occurs as a result of Human Impact, so that a new Equilibrium can be established.

Go to the website and vote on this new policy, and educate yourself on the new system that cares for life, so we can prevent further tragedies, and live in a world where life is fun for children and all life, not a warzone.

    Desteni Artists

In this post I’m going to address a comment I received to a previous blog post, Day 160: Is Ascension Really the Earth Kicking Humans Out? Suggest to read that blog post for perspective on the comment, which was this question:

“Why do you assume people live in fear?”

This questions is an indication of the extent to which we as humanity have become ignorant of ourselves and what drives the very decisions we make. As, our entire existence revolves around fear, and yet we can be almost completely unaware of that, because we've never really investigated ourselves and what goes on in our minds, and what is the nature of thoughts, to be able to identify what is really going on within ourselves. It's not something we are taught to do, and thus there is no real practical ability developed to work with ourselves and the experiences that come up within ourselves, or even to recognize and identify what is going on. Thus we're largely at the whim of what we experience, and take much of it for granted.

So in this post we’ll start with identifying some of the many fears that humanity live as. There are also some perspective on how we live as fear in the following post I wrote, Day 161: In Capitalism Everyone is a Beggar.

If you identify any more fears, write them down and add them in a comment.

An interesting thing, is you can actually look at each of these fears, and see how these have been/are capitalized upon within the current system, where businesses and industries appeal specifically to these fears that humanity exists as, in order to sell more products/services to make a profit.

And also conversely you can look at the industries/services that exist and particularly how they advertise, to see what fears we exist as, that they play off of, or attempt to. You can actually drive down a business street and look at the products and services offered, and how they are advertised, and this will indicate many of the common fears humanity exists as. Like a locksmith, or security systems. That would appeal to the fear of having your possessions stolen/being robbed. Why do we fear that? Because it could happen, and we aren’t taking action to prevent theft, but only deal with it after the situation in which someone would want to or feel the need to steal something has already been created, we never address the underlying root cause of the problem which is that not everyone has equal access to what’s here, and thus some want what others have, or can’t afford what they need and thus have only the option of stealing it, and thus those of us that have what others don’t, we must use locks to keep things from being stolen.

Or like a beauty salon or plastic surgeon, which appeals to several fears, like fear of aging, fear of being seen as ugly/unattractive, fear of not attracting a partner, fear of being judged by others, to name a few.

Or a church, appeals to the fear of going to hell, being judged, being punished by god.

If you watch TV, commercials also will show examples of what we fear, and TV shows and movies. Like shows with superheroes, for example, show us what we fear that we wanted to be protected from, like crime and violence, and there we give in to an idea that an individual with fantastical powers can save us, because that way we don’t have to take action ourselves, and why would we not want to do that? Fear. Fear of change, fear of losing my comfortable lifestyle.

And of course one can investigate one’s own relationship to fear, as the fears that one experiences within one’s day to day living. Suggest to read and follow the Journey to Life blogs, where many are deconstructing the patterns we've existed as, as humanity, such as fear, that keep us and the world in the cycles of abuse that we've always existed as, so that we can walk ourselves through the transformation from beings of limitation and self interest, to beings that care for all life equally, so that we manifest the best world possible.

As it is currently, we exist primarily as a reaction to what we've created and create, since we don't have an effective understanding of how it is we've created what's here, as we've done it in ignorance of the consequence. We have law enforcement and prisons to deal with crimes after they are committed. We have hospitals to care for the sick and wounded after they have become sick and wounded. We have charities to give aid to starving and poor, after they are already starving and poor. Becuase we haven't understood how we're creating, we've been perpetually stuck cleaning up the mess after it's too late. And thus it's through this process of getting to know ourselves and how we create what's here, as there is no one else doing it but us humans, that opens up the opportunity to change ourselves, our actions, and our approach to living in this world, and to therefore stop creating these situations in the first place, as Prevention is the Best Cure.
