Day 170: Board Games as Tools for Brainwashing

Who played board games over the holiday? I did. I’m sure a lot of people did, were you one of them? It’s quite a tradition when your family gets together for the holiday, looking for something fun and entertaining to pass the time. And we always look toward what we already know. Let’s see, what do I know of that would be fun to do? And we peruse our memory for options. And board games popped up, as we likely spent some hours in our childhood playing a variety of the board games that were available.

It was while playing one of these games, that I remembered how I used to experience myself during what was like a ‘family ritual’ sort of thing, as it was ‘more’ than just simply playing a game, as it’s like you bring all the memories of previous games with you, and how you experienced yourself then, and what happened, did you win, did you lose, did it heated, was there competition and insults thrown ‘in jest’, etc. I would have all kinds of experiences within myself in relation to what would happen in the game. Was I ‘winning’? Was I losing? Did another person just make a move against me to put themselves in a better position? Was it just going bad one turn after another and now it’s like there is no hope for me to win?

And I’d experience all kinds of emotions towards these experiences. I’d feel good if I was winning, bad if I was losing, angry and hurt at another who has ‘taken advantage’ of me in order to help themselves, depressed and apathetic if I was doing bad one turn after another. Confused as to why we as family members, who are ‘supposed to be on the same side’, because it’s how families are presented by/within society, as like, the one’s who’ve got your back, the one’s who you can count on, you can trust, will be there for you through thick and thin, and on and on with the clichés about family, and yet, here they are not supporting me, by trying to beat me, and I found this very conflicting. But everyone acts as is it normal, because it was what they learned as children, and now I was learning it, and then I would pass it on to the next generation.

Every time we’d go to play a game, all those previous/past experiences/memories would come up, it’s like they’re ‘all here with you’, and activates a specific ‘board game’ character that activates when the moment someone suggests the game and speaks its name out loud is like the trigger, and the memories would come flooding up as the game is brought out and we’re setting it up and passing out the pieces. And I can see there are even be character variations according to what particular game is being played, all depending on past experiences/memories, all originating from the earliest experiences/times I played the game. Like the first game is where the main character gets formed which will then come up for each following game, and then get added onto/shaped further as one has more and more experiences with that game.

I remember this actually quite clearly, with the game Monopoly for example, as that was one of the first games that I played with family on a family vacation/holiday situation. What this shows is that we were not born knowing how to play a board game. And we were not born with a specific relationship toward playing board games. This is developed through experience. For example, I didn’t ‘know’ what was fun about board games until it was shown and told to me. I was told the point of playing is to win, and I asked why? ‘Because it’s fun to win’. Oh, ok.. As children we are like sponges, trusting the adults around us and just absorbing what is told to us, and taking it for granted that it must be correct, and not questioning anything that doesn’t seem to make sense out of fear, due to previous experiences of questioning things that did not go well, because adults have a tendency to react in all sorts of ways when being asked questions about things that don’t make sense, because in that moment, they’re faced with the truth of themselves, and that they are living something that does not make sense that they were too scared to question as well.

So I ‘learned’ that it’s fun to ‘win’. And I also learned that according to the design of most board games, winning means everyone else ‘losing’. Everyone else has to ‘suffer’ so to speak, for only one being to ‘win’ and have the positive experience. And this is just like how it is in the current system, where 99% of the population does the majority of all the work, so that a 1% can live in luxury. Thus you have most people in the negative/having a negative experience, and only a very, very tiny few in the most positive experience. Just like ‘in the negative’ as a reference to debt, because in the current system money is what gives you a positive life, and where most are in the negative as debt, while only a very few are ‘in the positive’, as having enough money to be financially secure and can buy a life of luxury.

So at a time when I was young and not yet exposed to our economic system, as my world was as yet mostly comprised of my family and going to school, and I was not yet a ‘part of the system’ as going out there and ‘fending for myself’ within finding a job placement within the system, board games served as an introduction to how our current system works. So that when I do get ‘out there’ into the system, I’ve already accepted the basic principles it’s founded on, as I’m already familiar with the concepts, which I learned from playing board games, that are based on the same model, of being in competition with each other, and where there can only be a few ‘winners’ while most will have to be ‘losers’, and that that’s the way it is, and that it’s ‘fun’.

Thus, board games are a great way of introducing concepts to children, who are at a stage where they are still yet learning about the world and reality, and how it functions, so once they get into the system, it’s like they are already used to it, and have already accepted it as ‘normal’ and ‘the way it is’.

Within the next post, we’ll continue to open up this point of board games as tools for brainwashing ourselves as children to accept the current system, and eventually take a look at how playing board games can actually be reversed into tools for expanding one’s awareness of oneself, and one’s reality.

Day 161: In Capitalism Everyone is a Beggar

In the current system survival is not a basic guaranteed right. Well perhaps for a very small few it is, in the sense that they have so much money that they are really set for life, and probably so are their children, and children’s children, and so on. While the vast majority will have to continue working for most of their life, just to survive, there is no guarantee, no financial security.

In capitalism, for the majority, you must do a job that somebody else with money pays you for. Most jobs out there pay only enough to just scrape by, so that one is kept almost entirely busy working, just to make ends meet.

Which means, we’re not really living, just busy surviving. And even those that has gobs and gobs of money way beyond any actual need, while they have more security than the rest at the moment, there is no guarantee of that that will always be the case, as the current system does not guarantee one’s financial stability in any way, so if something happens and you lose all your money, you’re screwed. In fact, that’s why there have been cases where individuals committed suicide after losing all their money like for example when the economy hits a snag and big companies go belly-up, as they just couldn’t stand to face losing their quality of life and going back to nothing.

I was waiting in the line for a ferry and a man was walking down between the parked cars selling newspapers, going from window to window, calling out the name of the paper. This is the job he’s doing in order to try to make some money to survive. He’s saying please buy this paper so I can have some money to exist. Some of us do this in fixed locations in shops and businesses, in fact many are employed within retail, and we’re doing the same thing there. We’re hanging out there, maintaining the store and keeping the products stocked on the shelves and hoping that those who come in are going to buy something, because our life actually depends on it. So we are basically going around asking each other for our survival – please give me my survival, please let me survive, please let me survive, please buy my thing so I can get some money to survive and have a dignified life, and be able to feed my children, and pay my bills.

Especially if you work in any form of sales, what you’ll find is that there is so much competition out there, as everyone is scrambling to find a way to survive, in a system that is just like musical chairs, where there is deliberately not enough chairs for everyone, and so we’re competing against one another for money to survive, that to only sell according to actual need, like when someone actually needs something, you would not make enough to make a living. There is simply not enough actual need to support everyone with an effective income, within the design of the current system. And this is why products have been made in increasingly inferior quality, made to last a shorter and shorter time until you have to buy one again, or what has been done through ideas like ‘style’ and ‘fashion trends’ where you have to keep up with the latest trends, or you’ll look ‘out of place’ compared to everyone else, and so you’ll have to buy new things before they are actually used up, just to stay ‘in style’ or have the ‘updated’ versions. Watch this documentary for self education on how this was done through manipulating human psychology: The Century of the Self

So we’ve made ourselves slaves to the current system, because we haven’t guaranteed our survival, by implementing a system that would do so, instead we’ve accepted and allowed a system where we have to, essentially, beg for our survival from others. When you go in for a job interview, you prepare yourself with doing whatever you can that you think will give you the best chance for the job, and while you’re there you act and say what you think they want hear and want you to do, so they will hire you, because you need the job to survive, and essentially what we’re saying is, please please hire me, I need this job, so I can survive and have at least some level of a dignified life. And thus, we’re really all beggars, begging each other, begging each other for our survival, please let me survive, please let me survive. Which is actually really strange, that we’d allow a system where our survival isn’t guaranteed, when we know the obvious consequences of not getting what you need, which is things like starvation and disease that comes from lack of proper nutrition or clean water, and when there is enough resources to go around, and that by not having a system that simply distributes resources according to actual need, we’ve made things very difficult for ourself.

Strange that we allow ourselves to have to beg each other for survival, instead of just giving it to ourselves. Why do we allow this? Partly for the desire to be in control. If you happen to be one of the few in a position with money, then you’ve got others begging to you for their survival, and you can thus make them do what you want, you are in control and they are your slaves, and you can make them do some job that is going to lead to more profits, more money, for you, and you are a king of beggars. Yet obviously most don’t get in this position, most are the slaves, yet if you think that somehow you might have a chance, or you just want that possibility to exist, that you could be in a position of wealth and power and control, you’ll accept the current system. Yet, what’s not realized is that those in power actually enslave themselves as well, with all the work and hassle that it takes to get, and keep lots of money, because it’s believed that to have a good life, it must be obtained at the expense of others, instead of realizing that when we work together as a whole to ensure that everyone is supported and that everything we do/produce is the absolute best, everyone will have the best life possible, not just a measly few, while the vast majority suffer.

The other reason, and the primary reason, we allow this system is out of FEAR. Because those who are in relative comfort, fear that it could be so much worse, as that is the story that has been told generation after generation, to justify the current state of things. ‘It could be worse’. This sentiment coupled with images and pictures of ‘other places’ that are ‘worse off’ have been utilized so that you’ll just accept the way things are, if it’s not too bad, because you certainly don’t want it to get any worse. Yet it continually gets worse. And no one is realizing ‘it could be better’. We could in fact, have a system that does not abuse our environment for the sake of profits. That abuses animals for the sake of profits. That abuses humans, adult and child, for the sake of profits. And those profits only go to a few, while the rest are still left scraping to survive.

We could in fact, have a system where life is cared for, where nature is cared for, where all aspects are life are directed in such a way that always leads to the best outcome for everyone, which is what the Equal Money System is being developed for. Thus get involved with the formation of an economic system based on the principle that Life should be guaranteed, and we should not make ourselves Beggars for our own survival. We can take a lesson from the Earth, who provides everything she has to us for free and does not make us Beg for our very existence. Everything we need is here, what’s gotten in the way of life here being heaven on earth, is ourselves, simply not standing up to value ourselves as Life, and giving ourselves all the guarantee of the best life possible.

Day 97: The My Way Character – Self Forgiveness Statements

    Featured Artwork by Matti Freeman

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to exist as the My Way character where I hold onto beliefs and ideas of what I want/need/desire to happen, as a picture/image/idea of how I’d like things to go, that I feel justified in because of the various reasons that I believe I need/require reality to go according to the picture in my mind.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that by participating in the My Way character that I am responsible for this world existing within competition and self interest, as that is what I am participating in myself, when living as the My Way character, in holding on to how ‘I want things to go’, in total disregard for what would be best for everyone in a given situation.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that the belief that I hold in the idea of which way is best for me as how I apparently need/want/require reality to go in order to have the best outcome for me, is actually just a belief and thus not based in reality, as I have not made sure or checked that ‘my way’ is actually aligned with what would actually be what is best for me.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that within living as the My Way character, I am essentially saying ‘I want you to consider My Way’ and within this not considering the other person at all, and thus I am actually the one that is being spiteful within expecting the other to consider My Way when I am not even doing the same for them as I am not considering them at all, but only what I think is best for myself.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that by holding onto and fighting for and defending My Way that I am actually disregarding everyone and everything else, and thus putting everyone and everything else in the very position of having to ‘fend for themselves’ because I am not considering them, and thus I am further perpetuating the endless cycles of competition against one another that we have always been existing as.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that there is no ‘My Way’ as what is best for me that is separate from what is best for All, as the only way to ensure that I have the best life is to ensure that All Everywhere have the best life.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize the simple solution of considering all equally is what will lead to a world that is best for all including myself, as it is all of us collectively living as individual points in competition with one another and holding onto ideas of ‘My Way’ as how ‘I want things to go for me’ and not considering if what it is that we are wanting/fighting for/defending is what is causing the very problem in the first place, where we’ve accepted reality as one in which we must fight to get ‘our way’ instead of creating a reality in which we’re all supported effectively from the get-go, where then there would be no one to fight or compete against, as we’d all be taken care of.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that I must become the solution of living as the example of considering all equally, and stop only considering a ‘My Way’ that is separate from the consideration of all, in order to end this situation of having to ‘look out for ourselves’ when we’re really only looking out for ourselves from each other, which doesn’t make any sense, as we can simply agree to work together in creating a life that is best for all, instead of accepting a world where we must compete, when we have every capability to provide every single being with what is needed to have a dignified life here.

Day 52: Character Deconstruction: The ‘I’m too fat’ Character

Most of my life I did not have any fat. I believed it wasn’t possible for me to get fat, that I had a ‘high metabolism’ that no matter how much I ate, and sometimes I ate a lot, I would never get fat. Then, in my late twenties, I started to put on some fat, and this was quite a surprise, because I’d never really had any fat before, I’d always been really lean, and was even so skinny when I was younger that I was sometimes suspected of being anorexic, but I wasn’t.

So for most of my life, I didn’t have to face what some do, which is the experience of having fat in the current state of elite societies, which judges ‘fat’ extensively. There are some societies which have the opposite judgment, where ‘fat’ is preferred for females, as a status symbol of a male’s successful ability to provide for his woman.

‘Being fat’ is portrayed as negative/bad/unappealing in most forms of media, and ‘being thin’ as positive, and this is a reflection of the judgment we allow to exist within ourselves, as it’s we as individuals that live as this judgment, within accepting and allowing ourselves to exist as the belief and perception that ‘skinny’ is ‘good’ and ‘fat’ is ‘bad.

What we forget is that when we first came into this world, we did not have negative or positive attachments to body sizes. We actually learn to judge ourselves through the examples all around us in our lives as our parents, friends, adults, tv, movies, books, magazines, etc. We accept and validate this system of judgment because we look and see that others will in fact judge you negatively for being fat, and judge you positively for being thin, and thus we believe the judgment to be real, not considering that it’s as real as we make, that we are literally the creators of it as we live it within our actions and our words to/toward one another. But if we all stopped participating in it, it would simply not exist, and thus you can see that it’s just a fabrication that exists within the mind. So why would we participate in something that’s not even real and through which we abuse ourselves and each other and the entire world.

I would imagine if I was fat/put myself in those shoes and consider how I’d feel/experience myself and then I ‘felt bad’ for those who are ‘fat’ because I’d be picturing in my mind how they must be ridiculed/treated by others, and within this, formed a relationship to being fat as fearing to become fat for how others would treat me or not treat me, not realizing that this was actually my own self judgment, wherein I was accepting and validating this system of judgment by accepting it within myself as valid and real.

I forgive myself that I have not realized that within believing/fearing that ‘others’ will judge, that I was actually validating that entire system of judgment within myself, as I was not standing as the example that systems of judgment are not real, it is just a value system made up within the mind, with no purpose but to separate ourselves from another aspect of ourselves.

I commit myself to realize that all judgment is self judgment, as we as individuals must actually participate/believe in/validate the judgment within ourselves and live it out and act as it, for it to actually ‘exist’, and thus all judgment starts with self, and therefore must end with self, as self is the creator, self must stop creating and being the source of judgment.

Then I developed a relationship in separation to those who are ‘fat’ where I feared that they would judge/hate/be spiteful toward me out of jealousy for me not being fat.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to develop a relationship toward those who are ‘fat’ in fearing that they’ll judge me, not realizing that this is my own acceptance and allowance of judgment.

I commit myself to stopping the fear of ‘others will judge me’ within the realization that I must stand as the example myself the judgment is not real by living free of judgment myself.

So when I put some fat on, I then got to experience the other side of the polarity, to see how I experienced myself, how my relationship to myself changed, where I would feel depressed in looking at my body, where I used to feel ‘positive’ about it – which shows the nature of polarity and the consequence of participating in and as it, where to participate in the positive, you’re also manifesting the negative, and when you find yourself on the negative side of the polarity, you realize just what you’ve created by participating in the positive. The kind of thoughts I had changed from positive about myself to negative, my perception and interaction with others changed where I would constantly fear they were looking at me or think they were having thoughts about me and my weight, and I experienced resistance to go in public and be seen by others.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not consider what I’m manifesting as the negative side of a polarity when I participate in the positive side of the polarity, until I actually found myself on the negative side.

I commit myself to stop all participation in polarity within the realization that to participate in one side creates the other, and thus even if I am only experiencing the positive side, someone else is experiencing the negative side that I am creating, and that I would not want to experience myself on the negative side of what I’m creating.

Nowhere in any of this is there actual consideration of the physical. Or what size is appropriate/effective for a particular individual considering all physical influencing factors.
What we support by living as this system of judgment is all the abuse that occurs to the physical as the abuse that is done within all the attempts by individuals to fit into the ‘right picture’ to be on the ‘winning side’ of the polarity where one will be Rewarded within how others treat them and behave toward them. This is how we manipulate each other to fit the picture we have in our minds, while not even considering that suffering this cause, and that its only purpose is to serve consumerism. Extensive profits are made from those that seek ways to lose weight. And without and actual effective understanding of how the physical human body operates and what is effective nutrition, and what is an effective state for one’s particular body, much self-abuse and harm to one’s physical is done.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to instead of exploring the difference in individual’s body sizes/compositions to understand it as understanding a part of ourselves as this reality and how it exists/functions, turn it into a competition/battle/war within ourselves and without.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to participate and exist as the system of judgment toward one’s human physical body based on pictures to which we’ve assigned values to in separation of/from our physical within our mind, values which are not real or relevant in any way to actual physical reality.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that by participating in and existing as the system of judgment based on ‘fat’ vs ‘skinny’ that I am accepting/allowing/supporting the abuse that happens to not only individuals but to the world as a whole as nature and the animals, which provide the resources as substance which is utilized within/by consumerism to feed the desire of those who seek to look like the ‘good picture’ to be on the positive side of the polarity.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not consider that what one’s body looks like, has nothing to do with its physical functioning, as it’s just a picture I see with my human physical eyes, which I’ve assigned a value to within my mind, and thus I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not real.

I commit myself to approach what is here as physical forms in this reality in exploring what is here to get an understanding of physical reality, without judgment or turning it into a polarity battle of competition and comparison based on made-up values in the mind.

I commit myself to no longer participate in and exist as a system of judgment toward the human physical body based on pictures, which are not real or relevant to actual physical reality.

I commit myself to stop participating in and existing as the system of judgment based on ‘fat’ vs ‘skinny’ because I realize that to do so I am accepting/allowing/supporting the abuse that happens as what individuals do to themselves due to their participation in living as the system of judgment of ‘fat’ is ‘bad’ and ‘skinny’ is ‘good’, and the abuse that is done to the earth, animals, nature, as the resources consumed by those individuals seeking to be on the ‘good side’ of the polarity.

I commit myself to realizing that what my/one’s body looks like has nothing to do with its physical functioning and is just a picture that I’ve assigned values to in my mind, values that don’t benefit life but harm life, thus I commit myself to living as a being that values life as life itself not judging/evaluating what is here as the physical manifestations/forms in this existence according to pictures in my mind that aren’t actually real but are just images, as Life is Not an Image.

Day 20 - We are The Living Dead

For context watch part 1 of the documentary series The Living Dead & listen to the interview Life Review - the Strategic Soldier

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not consider that the stories of history have been manipulated by the winners in history to make the winners always seem right and good.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to see the winner as good/right when there is nothing good/right about war/fighting/competition.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see that the stories and mythologies of the past have been and are used to manipulate people based on memories and feelings to spur people to certain actions against one another, where based on something that is seen as positive as ‘pride for one’s country’ one will justify to maim and kill another from another country, even though we are all equal as humans on this earth and ‘country’ is should be just a location as that is what it actually is, not a reason to separate from each other and cause harm to another.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to feel like one ‘belongs to something special’ and thus is ‘special’, because of one’s past as one’s history, irrelevant to who one actually is here now.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that if I could be made to feel ‘special’ based on memories and pictures, that this indicates that I was actually feeling inferior in the first place.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that if I am feeling inferior, that the solution is not in memories and feelings, as those are just experiences and mirages that have nothing to do with who I actually am in reality, and thus memories and feelings cannot make me ‘more’ than who I am here, but can only make me ‘feel’ that way, and thus I delude myself to reality, and to actually face and deal with the feelings of inferiority, which I cause within myself, by judging myself for not living to my fullest potential, instead of simply living to my fullest potential and expanding myself here.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see that what goes on in war as the brutal killing of each other, shows that this is not a world of common sense or reason, as it simply does not make sense to be engaged in an activity where we actually are killing another human being, as when we see them lying there dead, we realize that they are the same as me, and I would not want to be killed and suffer that way, so why are we allowing this to exist?

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see or realize that the messages and pictures shown to us in and around war times such as video footage has been constructed in such a way to make one’s own country look like ‘the good guy’ and the other country ‘the bad guy’.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to see how we as individuals do this on a personal level wherein we’ll deliberately lie and manipulate information make ourselves look good in a situation and the other look bad.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see that the ‘enemy’ is always made to look bad in order to make one’s own country and what one’s own government/military is doing to not look as bad in comparison.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to ‘bury’ what has happened in the past in order that it can be forgotten, to try to pretend it never happened because I don’t want to face what I have become/have done, and in an attempt to protect my image, when actually the way to ensure that I have the best ‘image’ would be to not waste time trying to control an image of myself, and actually live what it is I want to be perceived as, and thus it wouldn't be an 'image' and I would not be a fake trying to present and live as an image, but a real being with integrity.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see that to stand for and support ‘my country’ means that I am not standing for and supporting the whole of humanity as one, and thus I am participating in separating ourselves into teams that are in competition with each other.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that human nature is what we accept and allow it to be and thus why/how we are actually able to program humans to enjoy violence and harm, and thus we are responsible for the abuse and harm in the world as we have accepted and allowed ourselves to program ourselves and to enjoy causing harm.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that there is no winner in war, there is no right side, as the fact that war exists indicates that we are accepting allowing extensive abuse to take place and exist in the world which we all exist in, that any of us could find ourselves on the ‘losing side’ of, and thus to actually win, would mean that no war or abuse exists anywhere.

I commit myself to realizing that war is the result of not considering all ‘sides’ equally, as when one is left out, they must ‘fight for themself’, their ‘right’, their survival, thus, by not considering the other equal to ourself, we create conflict.

I commit myself to see and identify when I am participating in this behavior/mind set where when I ‘perceive’ a threat to my interest, where I feel that ‘I must look out for myself as my interest is not being considered here’ mindset, wherein I’m seeing the other person as only considering themself, and thus fear that I will be taken advantage of if I don’t ‘stand up and fight for my own interest’, and stopping participation.

I commit myself to realizing that when we stick to practicality in doing what is best for all in any given situation, there is nothing to fear, nothing to defend, as when a decision requires to be made, you simply look at the situation and see what the best solution is for all, and implement that solution, and within this you are considered equally to everyone else, thus you will not be compromised nor will you compromise anyone.
