Day 196: The 4th of July - Are We Really Independent?

Last night I listened to the fireworks that were being set off somewhere rather quite nearby, as I could hear quite distinctly the sounds of the combustion burning up in the air like to quite some detail. The loud bangs and hissing and whistling went on for a few hours. From where I was, lying in bed, I did not see any flashing lights, all I heard was the sounds. Sounds like those you would hear in warfare, and it would be bombs and missiles, and there would probably also be the element of the sound of things breaking and being busted accompanying the loud blasts. As I lay there, I allowed myself to really question why we do this, why do we have a celebration where we blast fake bombs into the sky with flashy lights, and really have a look at just what it is we’re doing, how we react to this event, what we get out of it, what’s our relationship to/with it? Does it make sense, or is it really extremely bizarre?

It’s as if through this display, a big fanfare of energetic blasts it’s as if to say, ‘everything’s fine, everything’s alright, look we’re doing so ok that we can celebrate, I mean, we wouldn’t celebrate if things weren’t ok right? Our society and economy obviously must be stable and going along just fine if we’re able to put on such a display, right?

Yet meanwhile all the same problems are still going on in the world, as is. Everything is obviously not fine, and bombs are dropping in places where such sounds are scaring the living shit out of people because such sounds are the sounds of bombs and missiles and mean you could die at any moment, or have yourself be blasted apart or who knows what atrocity.

I used to see the 4th of July as a positive thing, but it was really my imagination about it, as the idea I had of it, as how it was presented to me as a child, and I associated it with positive things, like holiday from school, you get to play and everybody is putting on a good mood, and there is cheesecake or pie or some such yummy thing you get to indulge in. And it is something different from the ‘norm’, a break from the ‘day to day’ same-old routine- not realizing that such things are like ‘coping mechanisms’ which assist us to ‘put up with’ the day to day drudgery by giving a little break from it for a moment so it doesn’t seem so bad, and then I can continue on just waiting til the next break. And I learned to associate positivity to the U.S., and the American flag, like ‘hooray for our team!’, like the positive feeling that’s associated with sports and teams and winning and being proud of ‘your team’ because ‘you’ve won’ and so all these things that I’d associated as positive through memories, is what I was really seeing the 4th of July as/through - I was just reliving the experiences and feelings of those previous memories and experiences, and not actually seeing it for and as what/how it really is, in the context of reality and what is really going on in the world.

Now when you just look at it in actuality for what it is, it’s really quite a pompous act from a country who has done such extensive harm in the world, perhaps the most out of any country, with its people brainwashed enough to think it is the greatest country while it has rained down so much terror on the world, with it’s ‘war on terror’ which is really a war of terror, because we are really the terror, that tears this world apart through force and fear, tears apart humanity by wreaking such harm to terrorize us and drive us further and further apart, from who we are as equals here, from standing together and living together in unison, which I mean, I though it was called the ‘united’ states but there is nothing about actual ‘unity’ about it – it is about the destruction of unity, it is about one country that unites together to cause untold harm in apparently protecting its own self-interest, which it then celebrates with fake bombs, celebrating the real  bombs and warfare and harm that did not actually procure our freedom, but served to make a few a lot of money, while many have fought and suffered and died in unnecessary wars that were only ever for the greed of a few, because war is not how you gain ‘independence’, war is in fact how we have caused dependence of the countries we ravage that now can’t stand on their own and require assistance.

There has been numerous cases of this which are documented throughout history and it still goes on today, you just will not find it in the mainstream media, as that is privately owned and the information it puts out is controlled to shape a rather different version of reality, which is how we can end up thinking the U.S. is great despite the reality that is actually going on and that others are experiencing the consequences of first hand. For some education on this suggest to watch the documentary The War on Democracy.

It’s quite a reflection of our general total disregard for life here as we don’t consider what effect this event of blowing things up for no reason might have on all the other beings that exist here, or using the up the finite resources of the earth which we are already squandering excessively putting more and more pressure on our overburdened ecosystem, but just impose our celebration because we want it and we only care about ourselves and our own feel-good experience, and we don’t even know what impact this might have on the environment or how this may effect for example animals that are sensitive to sounds. I mean, for example, the cat that I take care of and who is sensitive to loud sounds and events did not come home to be fed until well after all the explosions had stopped, so she was quite likely hiding somewhere terrified and very hungry, but so often we are only thinking about ourselves at all, just existing within our imagination throughout the day in our own separate reality bubble, where the beings you interact with you don’t even consider them as beings equal to yourself, but they are just mere actors or props in your play in your mind that you are the star of, just like in hollywood. Stuck in the memories and feelings of past experiences, ignorant to the effect we’re having in reality, the harm we’re causing through attempting to live out our imagination onto reality, where if we would but simply look at what we’re doing and the effect we’re having we would see it, and so our ignorance is really just an illusion as it’s all happening right here in front of us.

The ironic thing is - we actually have no independence, whatsoever. Our living, our lifestyle, it all is dependent on many many individuals who are not even U.S. citizens, as in all the outsourced slave labor which we depend upon daily for so much of our products that we utilize in all aspects of our lives and living. How can we pretend/think/believe we have independence when you don’t even know where the food in your grocery store comes from, or who made the shirt you’re wearing, where dividends on your investments come from – somewhere individuals are doing labor that provides these things, and you are depending on them. We live off of the labor of others while taking them totally for granted at the same time, ignoring the fact that there are millions and billions enslaved while we go and celebrate how the U.S. has managed to create so many slaves for us to provide us with all sorts of consumer products, which we then become enslaved so that we can buy buy buy. It’s the American Dream isn’t it?

So we are not independent, we’re interdependent, because we all live here on this same planet. Interdependence is not a problem, it is the fact that we are all connected within this shared reality and all living here together, and thus what one do effects all, and thus within this we must ensure that what we do and what we support is harming no one because that will have consequences in a shared reality.

And when we are also totally dependent on our ecosystem to live – yet we trash it and disregard it as if we had some form of independence from it. Yet without the resources that the earth provides unconditionally, your body would not be supported and your body would die and you would be gone, and that is about as dependent as you can get. Within this, implies that we must then take the utmost care of our ecosystem and each other in a way that is best for all life.

I mean, when we get to that point, that would really be something to celebrate. When we get to the point where the best life is a basic human right for everyone.

Day 179: Turns Out You CAN Buy Happiness - IF You Have MONEY

Featured Artwork by Matti Freeman

Turns out you can buy happiness! New research shows the richer are the happier you'll be
New research not only confirms what most would call common sense - that it's more fun to have a lot of money than to scrape by with little - but can tell you exactly how much happiness each dollar will buy you.
A new discussion paper from researchers Daniel. W. Sacks, Betsey Stevenson, and Justin Woflers title 'The New Stylized Facts about Income and Subjective Well-Being' tracks happiness in comparison with income and what we buy with our money.
Their findings graph exactly how much you need to increase your income to affect your happiness and where you can find the happiest people in the world.
Among 122 countries interviewed on well-being in a gallup world poll against a nation's real GDP per capita (and adjusted for purchasing power) found that well-being rises with income at all income levels in every country.
Therefor, rich countries are happier than poorer countries.
It also found that you need to increase your income by consistent percentages to feel happier about a raise.
For instance, if you doubled your income from $30,000 to $60,000 you'd need to double it again to $120,000 to get the same feeling of elation rather than simply add another $30,000.
And while you need increasingly higher and higher jumps in income to get the same satisfaction, there isn't a plateau where the feeling will level out. You can always be happier if you can get the money.
The research also showed that satisfaction could rise steadily if income levels rose steadily.
Interestingly, while the U.S. economy has doubled in size since the early 1970s, its self-reported happiness has been declining.
That could be attributed to the growing economic disparity between the wealthy and the poor.
The author's noted that in European countries, 'the inequality has increased by half' the amount it has in the U.S.

Yes, Money is required to buy Happiness. We all already know this, but many will deny it, the simple fact that money is required to have any kind of a life that one can enjoy here, and that money and how much you have directly determines your quality of life. I mean, this is obvious, it’s how we’ve designed this system to operate – you need money to buy things. In fact, you need money to buy almost anything. Yet we only ‘know’ this as knowledge and information, as we haven’t done anything about it in actual reality, like changing our money system so that it does in fact support everyone to have the best life.

There’s the quote “Money can’t buy happiness” which is often used as justification to accept the economic system the way it is, as a reason why apparently you don’t need money to buy happiness. But this in terms of happiness as a mental state, wherein what is being implied is that – even with money you can still be unhappy. Basically because you can still drive yourself nuts in your mind, regardless of your financial position. And this is used to justify allowing poverty to continue by implying that money is thus not the key ingredient in being happy, when we know full well that without money you are going to go through real actual physical suffering, and that while you can change how you experience yourself internally, if you have no money, it is a physical problem, which cannot be stopped by changing your mindset.

Yet, the human does not currently have effective directive ability of their own minds and are subject to all sorts of thoughts, feelings and emotions, and from that perspective, there is a lot of mental suffering as a result of being in extreme financial situations, where you don’t know how you are going to survive or pay the next bill, or how you will afford to pay the fee if the electric company shuts you off, or how to give your children the best life possible. How will you afford to send them to college? Or even to just put enough nutrition on the table for them every day, get the proper healthcare they need when they get sick, etc. There does not yet exist any kind of worldwide support system to assist people with directing their inner experiences yet, except for the Desteni I Process so far, which has been developing this for years already, which now offers a free course with buddy support which covers the fundamentals of how to direct one’s thoughts and reactions.

So, because most humans do not have a directive ability of one’s mind, one is susceptible to one’s environment, and thus by not ensuring everyone has enough money, we are in fact responsible for allowing both physical and mental suffering to take place, and when it is totally unnecessary. Why allow a very tiny amount of people to have way more money than is necessary so that all the rest, the vast majority which is billions of beings, can live lives of inferior quality and support? Why allow children to not get the most effective education? The best healthcare? The children become the adults that is us that walk this earth and ought to be the custodians of the earth, but they turn out to be the abusers of the earth just like those that have gone before as we teach each following generation the same principles, the same ignorance and disregard of life.

The U.S. Constitution states everyone is entitled to the pursuit of happiness as an unalienable right. Therefore we are directly violating the Constitution to not ensure that everyone has enough money to be happy, as we know that without money, they will not be able to pursue happiness.

Thus why this current Capitalist system requires revamping, so that it is actually in-line with the very principles it is supposed to uphold, and the promises it has made to make life better for the individual, when everywhere you look more and more individuals are doing worse and worse. Within Equal Money Capitalism, you will have the money to send your child to college, you will have the money to get the most effective healthcare when you need for you or your family, you will have the best quality car, the best quality house, the best quality food that are not made to contain poisons like we have today, you will have the best environment, as nature will have the best care, you will have the Best Rights as an Individual that will have ever existed.

    For context watch Psywars.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that there are departments, businesses, professional training all for the purpose of shaping public opinion and perception.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not consider that events have actually been staged to induce certain reactions from the public, when this is obviously something we accept and allow ourselves to do on a personal basis, so it is no surprise that it happens in the world ‘at large’, as no matter at what ‘level’ action is being taken, it is an individual that makes the decision, a human being subject to the same behaviors as all human beings, thus what we accept and allow within ourselves can exist within anyone at any ‘level’ of society.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize the effect that information can have on our minds and our perception of the world when used specifically to shape our mindsets, as it is through information that we ‘understand’ our world, and thus whatever information is presented is thus how we see the world.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to take for granted the information that is presented to me within and by the media, that such information is going to be true and in my best interest as life.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to trust the main stream media, without considering what the starting point is of the information being presented, within looking at what will be the result if I accept the information that is presented? Will it be that I will see attacking the people in another country as justified? Will it be that I will have others treated how I would not have myself be treated?

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize the extent of the deception taking place within the organizations and persons that are in positions of power within the world system, that is indicated by the extent of deception that exist within the world, as how nothing at all seems to make sense as to how things are being done, wherein people who need homes aren’t given homes, people who need food aren’t given food, and so on for healthcare, education, all the things which we know and understand is necessary and important to have a dignified life here, without which one will suffer.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not consider that the extreme mess that we face in the world is indication that those who are ‘running things’ have not been doing so in the interest of all life, or such an extensive fuckup, where we are actually busy destroying the very planet we live on,  would not be possible.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe when the media said, ‘we must go to war against so-and-so’, without even questioning if there might be another way, or without demanding further context and explanation, and without actually doing anything, because I did not want it to be ‘my problem’, as my life was already ‘hard enough’, not realizing that if I stand up to change the system it would also solve the ‘hardness’ of my own life, on top of stopping the unnecessary brutal suffering caused by the inequality of the current system.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that within the U.S. not so long ago, children were made to work and workers had to fight to have even basic rights and many were brutally killed just trying to get better working conditions, and that these companies and families who made their fortunes off of taking advantage of so many, are still existing today, still accepting and allowing the current system of inequality where most aren’t able to work enough to have a dignified life.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that we have always accepted and allowed the current system to exist, while only having demonstrations or rebellions in order to get certain conditions, yet always within the same system which is already based on inequality, and thus no real change takes place, as the system remains the same.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize the ineffectiveness of revolutions and demonstrations, and to not realize that this has been deliberately presented as the only way to make change, as it won’t actually result in changing the system.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that in politics and the media, outright deliberate lies have been spread in order to affect and control public opinion.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that there are those who have deliberately investigated to learn how to take advantage of the population, and have taken jobs and made careers out of the field of manipulating public perception.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize the charity does not actually exist, as if charity was real, then there would exist no poor, no starving, no lack of education, but what charity actually exists as, is ‘crisis management’ where just enough is given so that people don’t have an uprising, which indicates that those participating in charity are actually evil, because they are participating in a function that allows the abuse to continue as it is on the whole, while giving just enough here and there, to keep down any sort of mass action that might actually result in a change of the system.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that the major corporations of the whole world, who act like they are in competition with one another, actually work together as they do what is best for business and profit, and within that they do not go by any kind of ethics, morality, or care for life in any way whatsoever, but will actually implement actions that involve causing deliberate harm to people, animals and nature.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that it is actually corporations that currently determine all the important decisions that have such a major impact on the lives of all beings in this world within determining how and what we eat and who gets to eat and what kind of working conditions we work in, and how we treat the environment, and basically determine and control every aspect of life on this planet, as the corporations buy the legislation that allows them to do whatever they can for profit, as the corporation is legally required to do whatever it can for profit in disregard of life except to the extent where it conflicts with the company’s ability to make profits, and thus our entire lives has become ruled by this singular drive for profit as allowed within the current system.

I commit myself to educating myself to how the current system operates and how the abuse is being caused, so that I can understand how to stop it.

I commit myself to realizing that revolutions and demonstrations are not effective, as history has shown, they only serve to allow the people to feel like they are standing up, but never actually changing the system, as within the design of revolutions and demonstrations, it already accepts that there is a ‘subordinate class’ and a ‘ruling class’, and thus equality is not realized as the solution, and there is no focus on creating a system that will facilitate and support equality, but the inequality is left unchanged and is in fact supported even further by participation in rebelling and demonstrating.

I commit myself to realize that the way to change is through the political system, as it is through the political system that the laws which support those in ‘higher positions’ within the system were put in place, wherein we live and enforce such laws, and thus what is required is to change the laws to those which support life, by getting involved in the political process, becoming the political decision makers, to stand in the place of those who would choose to abuse life and instead honor life by the decisions we make.

I commit myself to seeing how when and where I respond to and trust symbols and particular presentations that I will accept what is presented to me as long as such symbols are in place, so that I can become aware of where I have become a brainwashed zombie and no longer take things for granted just because ‘it looks right’ according to pictures that have no relevance to the actual thing or information being presented, and so that I can ensure that I do actual practical investigation into whatever is presented to me, so that I expand myself as my awareness of this reality, rather than diminish myself by being blind to what is here and only seeing and responding to symbols like a preprogrammed robot.

I commit myself to investigating myself, and ensuring that every decision I make is the decision that honors life.
